OUR SIMPLE PROCESS

Getting Started is Easy

Step 1: Enquire

Give us a call or fill out our quick form. We will learn a bit about you, your goals, and what support you are looking for.

Step 2: Catch up

We meet with you and your family in person to get to know each other, talk through your NDIS plan, and see what feels like the best fit.

Step 3: Trial shift

You meet one of our support workers for a trial shift. If it feels right, we plan regular support together and get things started.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions about getting started?

  • We mostly work with teens and young adults who have NDIS funding and are looking for support that feels more relatable and down to earth. If you are unsure whether we would be the right fit, get in touch and we can talk it through.

  • Better Support SA is based in Adelaide and supports young people across Adelaide and surrounding suburbs. If you are a little further out, contact us and we will let you know what is possible.

  • Most of the young people we support use their NDIS plan to fund their support. If you are still in the process of getting a plan, or are not sure how it all works, we are happy to chat and point you in the right direction.

  • We start by getting to know the young person, their interests, goals, and what kind of personality they connect with. From there we suggest a support worker who feels like a good match and arrange a trial shift so everyone can see how it feels in real life.

  • Availability changes over time, so it depends on the days, times, and type of support you are looking for. When you contact us, we will be honest about current openings and give you a clear idea of what to expect.

  • In most cases, our services are funded through the young person’s NDIS plan, and we talk through our rates and how they fit with your budget before anything begins. If there are any likely out-of-pocket costs, we will explain these upfront so there are no surprises.
