Young people supporting young people
We're an Adelaide support provider that works mostly with young people. Our support workers are young too. If you're the kind of person a teenager or young adult would actually want to spend a Saturday with, we'd like to hear from you.
What the work actually involves
Support work with us is community based and goal focused. A typical shift might be helping someone get to the gym, practise catching the bus, cook a meal, get through a shopping trip, join a footy club, or build up the confidence to try something new. Shifts are mostly daytime and weekends, across Adelaide, and you'll usually work with the same few people each week so you can build real relationships.
Most roles are casual. You'll need to be able to travel between shifts.
Who we're looking for
Genuinely into people
You're patient, curious and easy to be around. Experience helps, but attitude matters more.
Reliable
The people we support notice when someone doesn't show. You turn up, on time, and communicate early if something changes.
Independent
You can think on your feet in the community, keep good notes, and ask when you're not sure.
Based in Adelaide
Our participants are across metro Adelaide and the hills. Tell us your suburb so we can match you to work near you.
What you'll need before you start
You don't need all of these to apply, but you'll need them before your first shift. We can point you to where to get each one.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check (SA)
- National police check
- First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate (free, online)
- A driver's licence and a comprehensively insured car
